Good Christian
Part two today!

Different guy came in looking to return a sound machine we sell. Paid via Mastercard, but didn't have the card used to make the purchase. He wants cash back...we don't give cash back on credit returns...I don't know any place that gives cash back on credit returns. I tell him that not only can I not give him cash, I can't credit the card he gave me because it's not the card that was used to make the purchase.

This...has pissed him off...

He throws a freakin' HISSY fit, yelling at me, yelling at one of my managers, saying things like, "But I paid this bill already! Why can't you just give me cash!" and his mantra at this point, "But they're on the same account, it's a business account, it's the same account! They just differentiate between people by the last four numbers! Why can't you put it on this card, it's the same account!" I continue telling him that a) we can't put it back on the card he used because he doesn't have the card here, and it doesn't print out all 16 digits on the receipt and b) there's nothing we CAN do until he brings back the card used in the transaction in the first place. He says he's being inconvenienced because he's already here, and storms out, leaving both the product and his bag because he "doesn't feel like carrying them around anymore."

I have never been that pissed at a customer before in my life. I had to take a mental health break in the back room, I was shaking, for chrissakes.

Merry fuckin christmas...

The computers went down today, too, and we couldn't do passports and we had to call in every credit card sale over $50...

*shakeitoff*

Let's see, 3:30, alarm set for 7:30, work at 10...yep...tomorrow's gonna suck...g'night!

I hope some more (nicer) cute younger boyz come into your store soon.

Why didn't you just bow out of the conflict with the asshole guy, once your manager got involved (and the asshole proceeded to yell at HIM)?

Because Phil, the manager, wasn't really part of the process. I had gone over to ask him if I could do a cash return, and once the guy started pitching a fit Phil came over to try and explain it to him, but since he was backing the line up to hell and back, he had to go back to ringing.

Trust me, there are plenty of hotties that shop at my mall ;)
