Woof, boring day today. I got to Hesser around 4 to make my 60-second commercial for Comm105. And no, you can't listen to it, it's a piece of crap that took me an hour to put together, but for some reason it's way too quiet and i sound like crap...deal
I couldn't figure out how to fix it, either, cause when I'd up the pots to try and get the V/U meters bouncing where they should be everything overloaded and made awful noises. So it sucked sucked sucked and I'm filing it under rookie crap and it'll never be seen again.
After that I went to my first class, but I was allowed to check in and leave since it was a sub and we were just doing work on assignments I've already finished.
This left me with two and a half hours to kill...and nothing to kill them with. So I read for a bit, until my radio book got too wordy to handle. Those damn chapters are, like, 40 pages long, I swear, it's ridiculous. Then I went to the little cafe dealy and bought a chicken ceasar salad, cause my tummy was a-rumblin. And after all that, lucky me, I STILL HAD TWO HOURS TO GO!
So I hung out in the radio station, mainly watching, through the window into the gym, the girls' volleyball team warm up for their meet. Excitement.
About 20 minutes later some of the guys from my radio class showed up and so we started watching the volleyball game and chatting, and that killed the time nicely until class.
So in-class we all played our commercials, and they were all good and bad in their own way (but mine's still crap and you can't have it), and that was that.
Other than that, I got my XBox back today, somewhat humorous story, I called Microsoft at about 2 to check on my repair and was told that there were no updates from the service center. Twenty minutes later UPS knocks on my door and delivers my replacement console. I call Microsoft again and say, "Hey, I got it..." The woman I speak to the second time tells me that there was a note on the ticket that says my replacement shipped on the 24th. Many thanks to the first woman I spoke to for passing that information along.
Work's going good, though I have to start picking up Sunday shifts cause I'm poor as shit. Dammit. I hate working on Sunday.
Still live with my parents, still not getting any, still completely confused by women, still mostly ignored by dudes.
Fun times with me and mah homiez...
Following a quick diagnostic test over the intarwebs by my dear Medic friend, I've been diagnosed with muscle spasms in my chest...no, I don't know why.
Oh, I got invited back to Illinois again, but I really don't see how that can work with school and all. Sorry, loves.
Lastly, new game shows:
- Merv Griffin's Crosswords: Top-notch, kind of a combination of the old Scrabble game show with a little bit of Jeopardy! thrown in for good measure.
- Temptation: Good, but not great. They need to stop trying to sell ME things, it's not about selling me things, it's about the contestants buying things
