Busy day today, I'd say...I had to take my car to Exeter Subaru, go straight from there to work, then come home, but all of that took a long time!
My appointment at Subaru was at 12, but I showed up early, around ten of I'd say. I gave them my key and let them do their thing, and I sat in the lounge and read People and watched the news. Turns out that it wasn't that my rear wiper was loose, the motor was actually dying and needs replacement. So they put that order in, and charged me for labor and most of the parts today, $236.03, and they'll charge the rest, $89, when they put the part in early next week...yay...
Thankfully it's payday
I got to work around 1, picking up lunch along the way and eating it there, yay 2 Filet-O-Fish for 3 bucks... I went in 4 hours early because I'd been recruited to code open ends for an online survey they'd done. Allow me to explain. Open ends are survey questions where you can enter whatever answer you want, instead of selecting something or things from a list. The problem with this is that you can't really mine the results for data until you put the answers into a list. So what I had to do was take all these typed out answers (about 1500 of them), and code them into specific categories. This took about five hours.
Then I went to dinner, 3-course meal at the 99 for 12.99, yay. Chianti-braised beef...delicious.
After dinner, around 6:15 or so, I went back to work and did my normal job til 9, hooray Comcast surveys.
9 o'clock I came home, found out the DVR AGAIN hadn't recorded the primetime Price is Right special...grrr, watched some Food Network, some news, the normal stuff.
Got online around 11, and something actually exciting had happened. Turns out that, for the first time ever, someone I winked at on match.com actually *shock* emailed me! So I sent him an email back, we'll see what happens.
Now I'm just chillin here watchin DVR stuff. I have tomorrow off, so I can sleep and do laundry and go to the gym if the snow's not too bad.
Next Friday is NLP Take it to the Limit, and then The Toast for my cousin's birthday. That should be good times, too.
