I have a tendency to say, "I should post about this in my LiveJournal!" and then completely not post anything in my livejournal. So what I did the other night at work was write down a list of the things that I remembered that I wanted to talk about, and now I'm going to talk about them. It's like Brain Barf, but not live.
The biggest news is that my grandfather passed away last Friday. The wake was Monday and the funeral Tuesday, I took both days off of work. I appreciate condolences, but I assure you I'm perfectly alright. Freakishly so, Emily might say, because I basically didn't react at all. I dunno, I rarely cry or get emotional with death. I like to deal with these things more through humor. Ah well.
From this I'll be getting some sort of inheritance, I don't know the details of it yet. I've promised my uncle that most if not all will be invested in whatever plan he has. I may request a little be set aside for a specific purchase I have in mind.
Speaking of purchases, I went out Tuesday night to pick up a copy of "Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection" for PS3 and a travel case, like the ones I have for my 360 and Wii. The guy at GameStop said that they didn't carry any, so after a quick trip to Staples I went over to Best Buy. They had one, a nice one, an official Sony branded one...that retailed for $60.99.
No, that's not a typo, SIXTY dollars and ninety-nine cents
. What the fuck is this thing made of, Titanium?! That's some bullshit!
Nothing yet on the job front, I interviewed at Petco and was told that I'd be called about a second interview, but have yet to hear back from that. I applied today at the Puma store in the Kittery Outlets because Jane texted me to tell me they were looking for a full-time assistant manager. We'll see how that works out. I'll also check JobsinNH and the other sites again tonight, cause I haven't done that in a while.
I can't remember if I officially announced this or not, but Emily and I got the apartment at Sawyer Mill in Dover, and we're moving in on the 15th of March. So, there, officially announced.

I got my Hesser diploma in the mail last week. No frame, no folder, just a letter from the Registrar, an unofficial transcript and my diploma. I had to go to Staples to buy a frame for it. Awesome!
I went to Circuit City to check out the discounts, the only good game I wanted for PS3 was Soul Calibur IV, and even at 24 bucks off it was still $36. Besides, I used my money more wisely and bought a printer for $48. The other night at Staples I saw the same printer for sale, for $70. Hell yeah liquidation!
Thanks to a sweepstakes centering around the release of GTA IV: The Lost and Damned I have recently discovered the glory that is Deathmatch in multiplayer. I swear to god this is the most fun I've ever had on XBox Live. Of course...prior XBL experience is limited to Uno and the lamers on WWE. Anyway, I cackle with glee every time someone runs me over with a car. It's excellence.
And speaking of XBox Live, when the fuck is the downloadable content for friggin WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw 2009 coming?! The earliest date I've seen is March 30th! What bullcrap is that! PS3's had it for at least a month now!
Alright, lastly tonight I sent an email to WWE the other day informing them of the difference between the 25th of something and the 25th anniversary of something. This year is WrestleMania 25, for those who don't know. WWE is touting it as "The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania!" but it's not! Had they started with WrestleMania 0 and not WrestleMania 1 then yes, this would be the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania, but no...someone in the marketing department convinced everyone else that 1985-2009=25 years.
WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!
And that's the update, friends.
Have a good one!
Oh! One more thing, here at Emily's her upstairs neighbors have a tendency to get into loud screaming matches with each other. One of these matches happened at 9 this morning and woke me up. So I left them a snarky anonymous note taped to their mailbox. I don't remember all of what I said but here's most of it:
"Dear (Apartment Number),
For the sake of myself and the rest of the tenants in this building, would you please mind SHUTTING THE FUCK UP?
(I forget the middle paragraph)
The way you two are headed you're going to end up killing each other anyway, why not get it over with so the rest of us can have some peace and quiet?
The person you woke up at 9 this morning with your banshee-like howling"
I have faith that no one on my friends list is this couple or knows this couple.
OK, that's it. For real this time.
